The Rosemont 3051CD differential pressure transmitter is an intelligent differential pressure transmitter in the Rosemont transmitter. The Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter features unmatched operational performance, a flexible CoPlanarTM platform, and can be upgraded. During operation, the isolation diaphragm and filling fluid on the high and low pressure sides transfer the process pressure to the filling fluid, which then transfers the pressure to the sensing diaphragm at the center of the sensor. The sensing diaphragm is a tensioned elastic element whose displacement varies with the pressure applied (for a GP gauge pressure transmitter, atmospheric pressure is applied as to the low pressure side of the sensing diaphragm). AP absolute pressure transmitter, low pressure side always maintain a reference pressure. The maximum displacement of the sensing diaphragm is 0.004 in. (0.1 mm) and is proportional to the pressure. Capacitance plates on both sides detect the position of the sensing diaphragm. The capacitance difference between the sensing diaphragm and the capacitor plate is converted into the corresponding current, voltage or digital HART (high Speed Addressable Remote Transmitter data highway) output signal
